Suvarnabhumi Airport also known as (New) Bangkok International Airport, is the internationalairport serving Bngkok, Thailand. After delays and three decades, the airport opened for all domestic and international commercial flights on 28 September 2006. The airport is the main hub for most major Asian Airlines and is located about 25 km east of Bangkok. The name Suvarnabhumi was chosen by King Bhumibol Adulyadej and refers to the golden kingdom hypothesized to have been located somewhere in Southeast Asia.
