Kemaro Island, is a small delta in Musi River, located about 6 km from Ampera Bridge. Kemaro Island is a recreation area in the headliner of the Musi River. In this place there is a Chinese Temple (Hok Tjing Rio). On the island there are also. Buddhist people frequented the Buddhist temple for prayers or pilgrimage to the tomb. Often held is the Chap Goh Meh event every Lunar New Year. On the island there is also a tomb of the daughter of Palembang. According to local legend, in ancient times, Palembang sent a daughter to be married to the son of the king of China. The princess asked 9 jars gold as dowry. The princess was buried on the island and to his memory Kemaro built the Temple .
